Special note regarding the X Men Animated Pilots: Since the 1960s, Marvel had been wanting to get all of their comic series into "animated episode" form. Marvel had "moderate success" with Spiderman, so they used a plot that involved the X Men, with plans to get all their series chained into the others, much like the comics, or graphic novels, do as well.

Due to audience confusion, this "plan" didn't work. Never giving up entirely, "Pryde of the X Men" (in the 1980s) was used to do the same thing, only focusing on only the X Men, with as many "A List Vocal Talent" as Marvel could afford. This plan failed again.

Being really stubborn, Marvel tried once more with "Night of the Sentinels" in Fox Kids Saturday Morning (in the 1990s). Finally, this worked, however only worked with the X Men. Marvel tries this with "animated series" about as many times as there have been "Independent of all others" "Fantastic Four Live Action Origin Movies" (here's a hint: do it RIGHT the FIRST TIME and it won't need to be done again and again).
