The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe (1979, Animated)
When four children Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy stumble into an old Wardrobe they find themselves in a magical land called Narnia with talking animals, fauns, hags, the Wicked White Witch and the great lion Aslan. There they meet the friendly Mr and Mrs Beaver, who help them on their quest to find Aslan the Great Lion. Only he can help save Lucy's friend Mr Tumnus (the faun) from the White Queen.
While being based upon the "second book" in the Narnia series, "The Magician's Nephew" was written by C.S. Lewis after he finished writing "The Last Battle". Within the book, the question does arise "Why is Father Christmas dealing out deadly weapons?" The answer is not as simple as the question might seem. He was preparing the "Sons of Adam" and "Daughters of Eve" for "Peacetime", or rather the "Peacetime on the other side of War, that which may only be provided through War".
